The Story

In episode 6, Dating Ring confronts a problem endemic in the online dating world, and in our world in general: prejudice, bias, and attraction, and how all of that plays out when you’re in the business of matching people. We follow one dating ring client who wonders if race is standing in the way of her getting dates. Lauren gets a letter that from another customer who says the improvements they made after the relaunch were not improvements for everyone. And the co-founder of one of the largest dating sites in the world weighs in and explains why blind dates work, even when they don’t.
