Gimlet Media is the award-winning narrative podcasting company that aims to create a world more full of human connection and understanding. We create and distribute audio journalism and audio entertainment for audiences who crave something special. Gimlet was founded in 2014 and is based in Brooklyn, New York. We are a podcast division inside of Spotify.

Aaron Randle
Aaron is a producer for Resistance. Currently living and learning in Harlem, he was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. Before Gimlet, Aaron worked as a Metro reporter with the New York Times and prior to that as reporter with his hometown paper, The Kansas City Star.
Afeef Nessouli
Afeef is a producer for The Journal at Gimlet. He lived with his 72 year old Dad in Beirut, Lebanon for the last two years covering the country and its ongoing revolution for the Google Podcasts creator program. Before that, he was a producer at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and used to freelance at CNN too.
Alan Rodriguez Espinoza
Alan is a producer at The Journal. Before joining Gimlet, he worked as a podcast producer for Vox, and before that, he was an education reporter for VPM, the NPR-member station in Richmond, Virginia. Alan is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Alexandra K. Browne
Based in California, Alex is the Supervising Producer for the Scripted team at Gimlet. Before joining Gimlet, she wore many hats in Film and TV Production Management and Development, in the US and across India, Malaysia and
Singapore. She will never say no to sushi.
Alex Blumberg
Alex is the co-founder of Gimlet Media. He is an award-winning radio journalist. Prior to Gimlet, he was a producer for This American Life and the co-founder of Planet Money.
Alyia Yates
Alyia is a producer for Conviction. Her talents have been featured on Crosscurrents, The Kitchen Sisters, and Spooked. But before all of that, she was known all over Yelp as the "waitress with the extremely long and decorative nails". She hails from Kansas City, Missouri but don't hold that against her. And she currently has no hobbies cause her hobby is now her job...Thank goodness.
Andrea B. Scott
Andy is an editor at Gimlet. Before joining Gimlet, she edited and produced "The Wilderness" - Crooked Media's series about the Democratic Party. Prior to that, Andy worked as an editor and director in documentary film. She loves lakes, karaoke, presidential libraries and city parks - preferably ones filled with dogs.
Annette Heist
Annette is executive editor for standards and practices at Gimlet. Previous jobs include waitress, biologist, fact-checker and registered nurse.
Annie Minoff
Annie Minoff is a senior producer at The Journal. Prior to Gimlet, she co-hosted the science podcast Undiscovered and produced WNYC’s Science Friday and WBEZ’s Sound Opinions. Talk to her about birds.
Anya Schultz
Anya Schultz is an associate producer for Stolen. She’s from the San Francisco Bay Area and is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Columbia Journalism School. She used to be a professional cook, but now she’s just a professional eater.
Blythe Terrell
Bobby Lord
Bobby is a senior audio engineer/composer at Gimlet. Before joining Gimlet he did music production/composition for various clients, post mixing/sound design for various ad/creative agencies, and toured as a musician.
Brendan Klinkenberg
Brendan Klinkenberg is an Executive Editor at Gimlet. Previously, he was a reporter and editor at Rolling Stone, Complex, and Wired. He lives in Brooklyn
Bronwyn Davila
Bronwyn is Gimlet's Senior Office Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY, and among other things is the founding member of Spotify's Bad Movie Club. Queens born and raised Bronwyn loves true crime, reading, and cooking. You can find her most often watching a movie with her cat Berry or experimenting with a recipe from Anthony Bourdain's Appetites.
Catherine Anderson
Catherine is a senior audio engineer/composer at Gimlet. She got her start working in recording studios and doing audio post-production for film and tv. When she’s not working at Gimlet, Catherine can be found playing keytar in the band Robot Princess or rewatching Buffy The Vampire Slayer for the millionth time.
Catherine Whelan
Catherine Whelan is an award winning journalist. Prior to managing the WSJ narrative daily news podcast The Journal, she reported and edited for NPR and produced for the BBC's daily international news program The World.
Loves poetry. Does not like jellyfish. Obsessed with ferry boats.
Cat Schuknecht
Cat Schuknecht is a producer at Gimlet covering crime. She joined from NPR, where she worked on the Investigations Unit and made podcasts like White Lies and Hidden Brain. Before that, Cat worked at Reveal and received her masters in journalism from UC Berkeley.
Chantelle Bellrichard
Chantelle is a producer for Stolen. Before coming to Gimlet, she was working as a reporter at CBC and instructor at UBC Journalism.
Chris Neary
Chris is a senior development producer at Gimlet. Prior to Gimlet he was a producer at NPR’s On the Media and WNYC’s Freakonomics Radio. His work has appeared on those shows and This American Life. He’s from Ridley, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Grinnell College in Iowa.
Christian Abreu
Christian is a systems technician in the Brooklyn office. He’s the go-to man for all IT needs. When Christian isn’t fixing Gimlet’s tech issues or burping his newborn baby, he’s spending time researching and working on his many DIY projects.
Collin Campbell
Collin is head of development, based in Los Angeles. Before Gimlet, Collin created new and news-y things at WNYC (like Freakonomics Radio and The Takeaway), bestsellers at Audible (like The Making of a Massacre, Sincerely X and Evil Has a Name) and headed up programming at KPCC, one of the largest NPR News stations in the country.
Connie Walker
Connie is the host and managing editor of Stolen. Prior to joining Gimlet, Connie hosted the CBC podcast Missing & Murdered: Finding Cleo.
Courtney Gilbert
Courtney Elizabeth Gilbert is a multi media producer specializing in podcasting, photography and documentary film. She's also one third of the producer trio that created the podcast, Small Talk is Dead for Spotify's Sound Up: Behind the Mic fellowship program. She's currently sifting through pitches and show ideas as a member of the development team at Gimlet.
A former field producer and facilitator for StoryCorps, Courtney has produced stories for NPR and the Smithsonian Museum's Crossroads: Change in Rural America traveling exhibit. She's a huge fan of Korean corn dogs and making mood boards.
Damiano Marchetti
Daniel Ramirez
Daniel is the Audio Engineer for Scripted Fiction and is based in Los Angeles, California. Prior to Gimlet, he earned his stripes working at recording studios in Hollywood and Malibu. Later, he shifted focus and became a Sound Designer/Composer at APM’s Marketplace and Crooked Media. Daniel is a family man and will never say no to chocolate.
David Fuchs
David is a reporter and producer with Conviction. He joined Gimlet from NPR Utah, where he opened the station’s first southwest news bureau and made the Barlett & Steele Award-winning podcast, Sent Away. Before that, he worked on podcasts and reported radio stories for a variety of outlets, including CBS, Crooked Media, NPR and Radiolab. David is based in New York City and keeps a close eye on the surf forecast at Rockaway Beach.
Ellen Frankman
Ellen is a supervising producer on Stolen. Prior to joining Gimlet, Ellen was an executive producer at MSNBC and NBC News where she helped build their first audio unit and launch new podcasts. Before that, she helped make The Takeaway, WNYC's national daily news show.
Emma Munger
Emma is an Audio Engineer and Composer. Before coming to Gimlet, she was a music producer at the Erroll Garner Jazz Project and an instructor at the Brooklyn Guitar School.
Enrique Pérez de la Rosa
Enrique is a Producer for The Journal at Gimlet. Before coming to Gimlet, Enrique reported on farmworker communities for Northwest Public Broadcasting in Yakima, Wash., arts and Tlingit culture for KCAW in Sitka Alaska, and women's rights issues for CimacNoticias in Mexico City.
Flora Lichtman
Flora is the host and managing editor of Every Little Thing. Previously, Flora worked for “Bill Nye Saves the World” on Netflix, The New York Times, and Science Friday.
Hannah Chinn
Hannah is an Associate Producer on the Conviction team. Before joining Gimlet, they reported stories on climate and COVID for WHYY in Philadelphia, plus juggled a variety of gigs everywhere from haunted houses to coffee shops. This experience means they have passionate opinions about both non-linear narrative structures and alternative milks.
Heather Rogers
Heather is an audio producer and reporter. She comes from a background in long-form and investigative journalism. Her articles have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, ProPublica and The Intercept. Her most recent book, Green Gone Wrong, takes a critical, on-the-ground look at climate-change solutions, like carbon offsets and organic farming. At Gimlet, she’s worked on a range of shows over the last seven years, including StartUp and Conviction.
Jade Abdul-Malik
Jade is an associate producer for a narrative crime show with a background in journalism, creative writing, and rewatching Shrek movies too many times. The 7-year-old Jade would be so proud to know that she grew up to be a storyteller.
Joel Werner
Joel Werner is the Supervising Producer at Science Vs. Joel is an award winning science journalist and audio producer who previously created a number of critically acclaimed series for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), including No Feeling Is Final, Patient Zero, and What The Duck?!. In the mid twenty-teens Joel lived and worked in NYC, where he told stories for some of your favourite podcasts, like 99% Invisible. Joel is internationally recognized for his dishwasher stacking skills, and runs Masterclass events on the craft in his spare time.
Jonathan Goldstein
Jonathon Roberts
Jonathon Roberts is the Audio Production Lead for Gimlet Fiction Podcasts at Spotify. He is the supervising sound editor and co-designer for Quiet Part Loud, a partnership with MonkeyPaw Productions. Other projects include Case 63, The Two Princes, Motherhacker, and the Final Chapters of Richard Brown Winters.
Josh Sanburn
Josh Sanburn is a development producer. Before coming to Gimlet, he was a staff writer for TIME Magazine. He’s written features for Vanity Fair and reported and produced documentaries for Audible. Josh is originally from a small town in southern Indiana and studied journalism and philosophy at Indiana University. When he’s not learning how to use ProTools, he’s usually secretly writing music.
Kalila Holt
Kalila Holt is Heavyweight's senior producer. She’s from Chicago, Illinois and a graduate of Oberlin College. Whenever Kalila Holt makes a salad, people say, “Wow, that salad looks great.”

Kayla Stokes
Kayla Stokes is an associate producer in the scripted fiction department at Gimlet. Previously, she was a Behind the Mic Fellow at Spotify. And before that, she directed theater in NYC. She is passionate about bagels.
Khairi Williams
Khairi "Ky Will" Williams has a love for writing, creating and telling stories rooted in music & culture. Khairi started his professional podcast career as a Producer at ESPN where he worked on "The Right Time" w/ Bomani Jones and created "Elle & Fitz Talkin Music" hosted by Elle Duncan and Jason Fitz. Ky also has worked in live radio in New York City for Hot 97, WBLS and ESPN radio which were two skills that prepared him to produce "The Get Up" here on Spotify which is a beautiful marriage of the two mediums. Laura Morris
Laura is a Senior Producer and occasional editor on The Journal. She formerly worked with Gimlet Projects, where she hosted Murder Ballads and developed new shows for Spotify. Previously she reported from Paris, London, and Phnom Penh, with radio documentaries airing on BBC World Service, Radio France, Deutsche Welle and other outlets.
Lauren Silverman
Lauren is Head of Programming at Gimlet. She's helped manage teams and run shows such as StartUp, Conviction and How to Save a Planet. Before joining Gimlet, Lauren covered health, science and technology for NPR, Marketplace, and KERA in Dallas. You can find her writing in outlets such as The Atlantic, The Cut, and National Geographic.
Leah Feder
Leah is a supervising producer at Gimlet. Before this, she was senior producer at WNYC's On the Media.
Lisa Wang
Lisa Wang produces for The Journal, the Wall Street Journal's daily news podcast about money, business and power. She has been an audio producer at Gimlet Media since 2020. Before The Journal, she was a producer at Reply All, a show about the internet and technology. Lisa currently lives in Austin, TX.
Maria Byrne
Maria is an editor on The Journal. Previously, she worked as a field producer at the BBC covering international news. She's originally from Ireland but has spent the past two decades traveling all over the world.
Mathilde Urfalino
Mathilde is a producer developing new narrative series for Gimlet (send her your tips and pitches!). She has worked on shows that called for making sense of hundreds of hours of archive tape, tracking down the origins of 18th-century songs, interviewing health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and writing riddles for kids. She most recently worked on The Conviction of Max B.
Matthew Nelson
Matthew is the Supervising Producer of Mogul. Prior to joining Gimlet, he reported and produced features for the BBC World Service, NPR, and CBC.
Matt Kwong
Matt is a producer at The Journal. Before joining Gimlet, he produced the podcasts Sway and The Argument at The New York Times. He's been an editor at NPR’s Morning Edition, a Washington correspondent for the CBC, and a reporter for a newspaper in Abu Dhabi. Matt is based in D.C. He’s proudly Canadian.

Matt is a Supervising Producer at Gimlet Projects. He produces Spotify Original podcasts. He is a proud member (and the former news director) of North State Public Radio in Chico, California.
Max Green
Max is a supervising producer at Gimlet, where he's worked on shows like Stolen, and The Journal's Facebook Files series. Before joining Gimlet, he was a reporter at WBEZ Chicago and a producer at Frontline, where he worked on the award-winning podcasts I'm Not A Monster and Un(re)solved.
Meg Driscoll
Meg is a Producer at Gimlet. Before joining the team, she worked at The Colbert Report and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. She crochets constantly.
Meryl Horn
Meryl is a Senior Producer at Science Vs. Before coming to Gimlet, she got her PhD in neuroscience at UCSF, where she also led a student-run science podcast.
Michelle Dang
Michelle is an Associate Producer at Science Vs. Before osmosing into the audio world, she studied biology — and is also a nerd for pretty graphs, visuals and experiential learning.
Mimi O'Donnell
Mimi is the Head of Scripted at Gimlet. Before coming to Gimlet she was the Artistic Director of the Labyrinth Theater Company. She also spent many years as a Costume Designer for Theater, TV and Film.
Mitch Hansen
Mitch Hansen is a Supervising Producer at Gimlet. Before he joined the team, he worked at Investigation Discovery and Audible. When he’s not producing content, he spends most of his time untangling his headphones.
Mona Madgavkar
Mona is a Producer at Heavyweight. She's originally from Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She is also a graduate of the Transom Story Workshop, and previously interned at Reply All. She has very strong opinions about curly hair products.
Nathan Singhapok
Nathan is an Audio Engineer and Composer at Gimlet and works on The Journal. Previously, he worked at The Criterion Collection where he restored film audio. Outside of audio engineering and composing, Nathan likes to spend his time at the climbing gym, running or biking around the park, and diving into a good record or book.
Peter Leonard
Peter is an Audio Engineer and proud Hufflepuff at Gimlet. Previously, he worked at Vox, where he produced podcasts like The Weeds and mixed audio for Vox videos. You can also find him playing bass and synthesizer in his band, Sunbathers.
Phoebe Flanigan
Phoebe produces podcasts at Gimlet. Previously she made things for Oregon Public Broadcasting, 99% Invisible, NPR, the Outside Magazine podcast, and The New York Times.
Pia Gadkari
Pia Gadkari is an award-winning radio journalist and senior producer for The Journal podcast. Before joining The Journal, Pia worked as producer and co-host of Bloomberg’s Decrypted podcast and covered international news at the BBC. She’s currently based in New York.
Pierce Singgih
Pierce is an associate producer at The Journal. He previously worked as a reporter in Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon.
Rachel Humphreys
Rachel is a senior producer at The Journal. Before joining Gimlet she hosted and produced The Guardian's daily news podcast Today in Focus. She has relocated to New York from London.
Rose Rimler
Rose is a Producer at Science Vs. She got her MS in marine biology researching baby oysters no bigger than a grain of sand. So far, the best question she's posed as a science journalist was: "Have you ever considered putting deodorant on a chimpanzee?"
Sarah Platt
Sarah is the Executive Producer of The Journal. Before Gimlet she worked in public radio at WBUR. Talk to her about bread.
Stevie Lane
Stevie is the Supervising Producer at Heavyweight. She graduated from Bowdoin College, where she studied Political Philosophy and English and co-hosted a radio show. When she's not in the recording studio, she's most likely in the metalworking studio. If you have an hour to kill, ask her about hammers.

Valentina Powers
Valentina is the Head of Content Operations at Gimlet. Previously, she worked at New York Public Radio where she was running Operations and Program Management for the Product and Technology team. Valentina has been in the audio space for most of her career where she started as Production Assistant for a radio documentary producer. She enjoys being in the thick of it where tech and audio converge.
Wendy Zukerman
Wendy is the host and executive producer of Science Vs. Previously, she worked for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where she originally created Science Vs.
Weng Cheong
Weng Cheong is a content operations associate at Gimlet. Before this, she held a project management role at a brand experience agency. Weng comes from a journalism background. She’s reported for local newspapers and digital platforms including Insider Inc., Health, LinkedIn, and Washington Life Magazine.
