>> Rachel: Good morning, it’s time for Chompers! Your morning and night toothbrushing show. Start brushing on the top of your mouth. Pick a side, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: We hope you're not having a RUFF morning (SFX BARK) because it's Pets Week, and today we’ve got some riddles about pets!

Here’s your first one:

I’m a tiny furry friend

I look kind of like a mouse

But my tail is shorter

And there’s a wheel in my house

What pet is this??

>> Group: A HAMSTER!

>> Rachel: Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and give your tongue a brush too.

Hamsters are part of an animal family called RODENTS. (SFX SQUEAKING) All rodents have big teeth on the top and bottom of their mouths made for gnawing on food. (SFX) Other rodents you might know are mice, rats, and squirrels. Next time you see a pet hamster watch closely as it eats its food -- you’ll see its big rodent teeth! And then tell it to brush its teeth with Chompers! (SFX)

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and brush in little circles around each tooth

Here’s another riddle:

I’m a soft and fuzzy pet

My ears are long a furry

I like to munch on carrots

And hop around in a hurry (SFX BOING)

What am I?

A BUNNY RABBIT!

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and brush those molars in the back too.

Bunny Rabbits can make great pets, but they need A LOT of special care and attention. MOST rabbits don't like being picked up, because it can make them feel afraid. They also sleep during the day, and like to run around early in the morning at sunrise (SFX), and when the sun is setting(SFX). Pet bunnies are best for older kids, and grown ups because of how much work it takes to make them feel safe and happy!

That's it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more pet riddles. Until then

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
