>> Rachel: It’s Cities Week, and tonight we have more I Spy for you! I’ll SPY something you can find underground in a city, and you have to guess what it is.
Here's your first one:
I see some very long tubes. They are going from people’s apartments, sneaking behind walls to go underground. These tubes are sucking trash!
What are these tubes?
Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush the molars in the back too.
So, what do I spy?
>> Kids: A pneumatic trash system!
>> Rachel: A pneumatic trash system is really cool! Instead of a trash truck coming to empty your trash cans, you throw your trash into a tube and the tube SUUUUUUCKS the trash away! Everyone’s trash goes through tubes to the same place!
There are pneumatic trash systems all around the world!
Switch to the bottom of your mouth, but don’t brush too hard.
Here’s your next I Spy:
I’m in a tunnel and I see a crowd of busy people walking in every direction. They’re walking to a mall, a theater, a metro station, a university, and many other places miles away. It’s like they are walking in a city but all of it is indoors.
What do I spy?
>> Kids: The Underground City of Montreal.
>> Rachel: Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and brush your front teeth too.
The Underground City of Montreal is not totally...underground, but it’s all indoor. Winters in Montreal are verrry cold.
So the Underground City of Montreal was built for people to go from one place to another without having to go outside. This way people can stay toasty warm and still do their shopping, see their friends, and go to work and school!
