[THEME SONG IN]

>> RACHEL: Welcome back to Chompers! Your morning and night tooth brushing show.

It’s Dinosaurs Week, and tonight we’re heading back out on our dino safari. But first ..

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and make little circles with your brush around each tooth.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 BRUSH!

>> RACHEL: Alright, ready for your first one?

[JUNGLE SOUNDS BEGIN]

>> RACHEL: I see a dinosaur that’s walking on all fours.

[DINOSAUR GRUNT]

>> RACHEL: This dino has a giant head with a big wide bone in the back, almost like a fancy shirt collar.

[DINOSAUR GRUNT]

>> RACHEL: I also see three sharp horns, two on the top of its head like a bull, and a smaller one right above its beak.

What dinosaur is this? What do I spy?

[JUNGLE SOUNDS END]

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>> GROUP: A Triceratops!

>> RACHEL: A Triceratops.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and don’t forget the molars in the back.

They are called TRIceratops because of their THREE horns. Tri means THREE.

>> KID: OOOOOH!

>> RACHEL: But they didn’t use those horns to hunt, because Triceratops were herbivores. That means they only ate plants, not other animals. So scientists think their horns were used to defend themselves from predators. Scientists also think that they were very colorful creatures!

[MUSIC ENDS]

>> RACHEL: Switch your brushing to the bottom of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL:  and brush your front teeth too.

Ready for your next dinosaur?

[JUNGLE SOUNDS BEGIN]

>> RACHEL: I see a four legged dinosaur that looks like it’s wearing a suit of armour.

[DINOSAUR GRUNT]

>> RACHEL: It has two horns, a short body and massive legs!

[DINOSAUR GRUNT]

>> RACHEL: And the back of this creature is lined with armored plates and short spikes, with a boney ball at the end of its long tail.

So what dinosaur is this? What do I spy?

[JUNGLE SOUNDS END]

[MUSIC BEGINS]

>> GROUP: An Ankylosaurus!

>> RACHEL: An Ankylosaurus.

Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth,

[SWITCH BELL]

>> RACHEL: -and give your tongue a brush too.

The Ankylosaurus is a super tough dinosaur. Scientists think lived maybe around 70 million years ago? And that its scaly armor helped protect it from predators. Its horns and the boney thing at the end of its tail were used for protection; if another dinosaur tried to attack it,

[DINOSAUR SQUAWK]

>> RACHEL: It might get a whack with that strong tail!

[THUMP, DINOSAUR SQUAWK]

[MUSIC ENDS]

[THEME SONG BEGINS]

>> RACHEL: That’s all the I Spies we have for you today, but come back tomorrow for more clean teeth. And don’t forget to,

>> KIDS: 3-2-1 Spit!

[THEME SONG ENDS]

>> RACHEL: Chompers is a production of Gimlet Media.
