>> RACHEL: Welcome back. It’s time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show. Tonight Jasmine has a special INTERVIEW. Jasmine let’s go!

>> JASMINE: Thanks!

Start brushing on one side of the top of your mouth, and make sure to reach the molars in the way back.

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1, brush!

[THEME SONG ENDS]

>> JASMINE: Tonight, we’re back with kid-Chef Nikki Bidun, who is going to walk us through making one of her favorite meals. Alright Nikki, Let’s get cooking!

Would you tell me what we’re cooking today?

>> NIKKI: Today I'm making mussels with a toasted baguette.

>> JASMINE: That sounds delicious!

>> NIKKI: The first step is I'm going to cut some shallots and fry them with a little bit of garlic on medium high heat.

I think they’re looking good right now so I'm going to add in a bit of white wine.

>> JASMINE: Switch to the other side of the top of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>> JASMINE: -and don’t brush too hard

While the shallots we’re frying in the wine, Nikki started toasting some yummy bread.

>> NIKKI: I can smell the wine and the shallots, and the garlic. That's when I'm going and my muscles.

And make sure that they're not open if they're open it means they're rotted and they're not good to eat. Found this open one here, going to put him to the side.

And I'm going to put the lid on. I'm going to keep it on medium high heat until the breads done which is about four to five minutes.

>> JASMINE: Switch to the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

-and make sure you’re brushing, the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth.

>> NIKKI: So. The muscles are looking paler right now they're all open.

>> JASMINE: That means they’re ready.

>> NIKKI: So I'm going to take them out and put them on a plate.

I'm going to let them cool down a little bit and I'm going to start melting my sauce with butter.

>> JASMINE: That's a lot of butter.

>> NIKKI: It is but, you know a little bit of butter can't hurt that much.

>> JASMINE: Switch your brushing to the other side of the bottom of your mouth…

[SWITCH BELL]

>> JASMINE: -and give your tongue a brush too.

>> JASMINE: The mussels have cooled down, the butter has melted and the bread looks crunchy!

>> NIKKI: And that's it. It's mussels with a toasted baguette.

>> JASMINE: Great, lets eat! (Bites) MMMM. It's so good! It must be a really good feeling sitting down to a meal that you just cooked.

>> NIKKI: It definitely is. It's one of the better parts of cooking to sit down and know like that's the food that I made. And homemade stuff is always the best stuff.
