>> Rachel: We hope you're meowing for more, because it's time for Chompers, your morning and night toothbrushing show.

Start brushing on the top of your mouth on one side, and brush the inside, outside and chewing side of each tooth

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 brush!

>> Rachel: It’s Pets Week,(SFX ROOSTER) and today we’ve got some true or false for you! If you think what we say is true, (SFX TRUE) thumbs up. If it's false, (SFX FALSE) thumbs down.

Here's your first one:

President Barack Obama had a pet dog, named Bo, when he lived in the White House.

So is this true? Did President Obama have a dog named Bo?

Find out after you switch your brushing to the other side of the top of your mouth, and brush your molars in the way back too

The answer is…. TRUE (SFX TRUE)!

President Obama DID have a dog named Bo (SFX BARK BARK).

But Bo isn't the only animal that has lived in the White House. Lots of other Presidents have had pets too! President Ronald Reagan had a dog named Lucky (SFX BARK), President Bill Clinton had a cat named Socks (SFX MEOW) and President Theodore Roosevelt had a small bear named Jonathan Edwards (SFX BEAR ROAR).

Switch to the bottom of your mouth, and give your tongue a brush too.

Here’s another true or false:

Cats get sweaty underneath their fur.

So is that true or false? Do cats get sweaty under all that fur?

The answer is… False! (SFX FALSE) Cats don't get sweaty under their fur.

Switch to the other side of the bottom of your mouth, and don't brush too hard.

Human bodies SWEAT when we get hot, to help us cool off. But cats don’t sweat in the same way -- so when a cat is hot, it licks its fur to cool down.  It’s called “grooming” and it’s kind of like sweating, but with spit instead of sweat! (SFX SLURP)

That's it for Chompers today, but come back tonight for more true or false. Until then...

>> KIDS: 3, 2, 1 spit!
